The company enters the 2026 cohort with a mandate to move its water-based manganese process from bench scale to a continuous pilot circuit.
Green Manganese has been selected for the North X Climate Tech cohort, joining a group of Canadian companies working on industrial decarbonisation. The programme gives the team access to engineering advisors, capital partners and pilot facilities over the next twelve months.
The focus of the work is the transition from batch bench-scale testing to a continuously operated leaching and recovery circuit. Continuous operation is the step that determines capital cost per tonne, and with it the economics of processing tailings on this continent rather than shipping concentrate abroad.
The company will report circuit performance data, including recovery rates and reagent regeneration efficiency, as the pilot campaign progresses.
