Green Manganese has been accepted into Foresight Canada’s critical-minerals stream. The programme connects Canadian technology ventures with industrial partners and government agencies working on domestic processing capacity.
Canada, the United States and Europe hold over 300 million tonnes of identified manganese deposits and still import almost all of their supply, while around 90 percent of the world’s manganese processing sits in China. Every tonne of steel requires up to 10 kg of manganese, and there is no substitute for it.
The company is using the programme to build relationships with steel producers and feedstock owners in Western Canada.
